9 September 2024 - House Orientation Day

The annual House Orientation Program took place on 9th September. This year, the program also included the UGA Treasure Hunt. House captains and house committee members began preparing for the event back in mid-August, working hard to design and test various tasks and mini-games, figuring out how to allocate house points.

On the day of the orientation program, students gathered in various places for their first major house meeting of the year. House captains and committee members led the meeting by recapping last year’s successes and also expressed gratitude to those who had helped along the way. Ice-breaking games were also held to foster a stronger sense of belonging among house members.

During the UGA Treasure Hunt, students gathered in groups to complete a variety of mini-games. Despite the hot weather, students enjoyed competing for house points. The program ended with a mini cheering competition, and all six houses performed their house cheers and slogans enthusiastically. 

The House Orientation Program was inspiring and fun. We cannot wait for the next house event to begin!
