23 September 2020 - New school year, new norm: Online Peer Counselors Orientation Events

Have you ever thought of meeting your new schoolmates through an online platform?

Due to the pandemic, all students had to start their first school day at home, using an online platform to learn and engage as a group. This, understandably, was especially challenging for our S1 students. Therefore, our Peer Counselors had decided to take a proactive role to meet and greet them online in the first week of school to better support our S1 students. The goals were to introduce our new schoolmates to the new school environment and help them better adapt to the HKUGA College school life. Ice-breaking games and fun activities were led by our Peer Counselors under the guidance and support of Class Tutors and teacher advisors.

When school resumed, all S1 students gathered again to be more familiarised with the school campus. The Peer Counsellors introduced students to different places. In November and December, afternoon gatherings will be organized. Although the pandemic has brought upon challenges, together, we can and we will overcome them and have a fruitful year ahead as a group.
