17 March 2019 – Asian Youth Athletics Championships
3rd Asian Youth Athletics Championships was held from 15/3 to 17/3 at Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground. A group of students who study S3 PE modular studies organized a booth for visitors. Some students acted as liaisons to serve the athletes from other countries.
Apart from that, HKUGA Primary School students cooperated with our students in a performance in the closing ceremony of this major competition. The second part of the show was presented by rope skipping teams from tertiary institutes, as well as Hong Kong Rope Skipping Team, which won numerous World Championships in 2012, 2014 and 2016. One of the team members, Pan Hei Lau, won an individual award in the World Championships last summer. The theme of the show is “inherit the past and usher in the future”. This is a valuable experience, supporting Hong Kong and nurturing our students' sense of global citizenship. Our students were dedicated to this international event. We should be proud of our students' creativity and engagement.
