10 May 2025 - "Eye-dentify" Clinches Champion Title at IdeaPOP! 2025, Highlighting Student Innovation for Social Good

We are exceptionally proud to announce that our students have achieved the prestigious Champion title at the IdeaPOP! 2025 competition by the SEED Foundation, with the final presentations held on May 10th. Competing against over 100 teams, our students showcased remarkable ingenuity.

Their award-winning innovation, "Eye-dentify," is an application designed to make preliminary eye health monitoring more accessible, particularly for the elderly who face challenges in accessing timely eye care. "Eye-dentify" utilizes machine learning for algorithmic eye examinations, AI doctor consultations, and patient self-checks, aiming for early-stage disease detection. This includes identifying observable eye diseases through image recognition and assisting with unobservable conditions.

This victory underscores not only our students' technical skills but also the importance of fostering entrepreneurship and innovation among them. At HKUGA College, we believe in empowering students to develop solutions that create positive social impacts.
