STEM

To promote STEM learning at the College and encourage students to understand the significance of STEM, the STEM faculty (Science, Mathematics, and Technology departments) have organized and presented the STEM Week from 6th to 10th March. This year's theme is “Why does STEM matter? - Tackling global problems by STEM”. The activities are well-received by the students with active participation.

Throughout the week, 15 STEM thematic activities were held during lunch well-being time around the campus. All the activities prepared by teachers from the STEM faculty engaged an overwhelming number of students. Undoubtedly, all participants enjoyed the hands-on and minds-on experience and gained more understanding of different disciplines of STEM, such as earthquake science, cryptography, artificial intelligence, etc.

In the junior assembly, S1-2 student representatives from each House demonstrated their knowledge of STEM and practical skills in the Inter-house competition on stage. They were all fully supported by the other House members. In the senior assembly, S3-5 students were engaged in the exciting “Human Kahoot” to compete for their Houses. Passion and teamwork were what we could see from all students in the assembly hall. Students could apply what they learned from the lunchtime activities in the competitions. They definitely learned with joy and passion during STEM Week!

Congratulations to Austen for winning the overall Champion in STEM Week. We truly appreciate everyone’s love of learning and the effort of our STEM Team members. Let’s look forward to STEM Week next year. We are all excited to learn STEM and have fun with you!
