Sports Coaches for our Extended Learning Activities

Sponsored by Hong Kong University Graduates Association Education Foundation, HKUGA College is an EMI secondary school under the Direct Subsidy Scheme. Founded in 2006, it operates under the 'through-train model' together with HKUGA Primary School.  We offer a broad, flexible and balanced local curriculum, adopting sound education practices and preparing students for the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education.

 

We are now seeking experienced Sports Coaches for our Extended Learning Activities.

Program Length: Tuesday (15:00-17:00)
Session Duration: 2 hours

Requirements
  • possess relevant professional coaching qualifications
  • teaching experience not less than five years 
  • have sound subject knowledge and teaching skills
  • prior experience in coaching school teams preferred
  • demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • former or current Hong Kong Team representative or coach
Athletics Team (Long Jump) Coach
Program Length: Tuesday (15:00-17:00)
Session Duration: 2 hours

Requirements
  • possess relevant professional coaching qualifications 
  • teaching experience not less than five years
  • have sound subject knowledge and teaching skills
  • prior experience in coaching school teams preferred
  • demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • former or current Hong Kong Team representative or coach
  • record holder in Hong Kong Open Competition
Basketball Girls Team Coach
Program Length: Wednesday & Friday (15:00-17:00)
Session Duration: 2 hours

Requirements
  • possess relevant professional coaching qualifications 
  • teaching experience not less than ten years
  • have sound subject knowledge and teaching skills
  • prior experience in coaching school teams preferred
  • demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • experience in leading school teams to territory-wide Inter school competitions
  • prizes in the above competitions with your teaching schools
Badminton Team Coach
Program Length: Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday (15:00-17:00)
Session Duration: 2 hours

Requirements
  • possess relevant professional coaching qualifications, with coaching certificate 
  • teaching experience not less than five years
  • have sound subject knowledge and teaching skills
  • prior experience in coaching school teams preferred
  • demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • experience in leading school teams to territory-wide Inter school competition
Table Tennis Team Coach
Program Length: Tuesday (15:00-17:00)

Advanced Robotic Arms Team Instructor
Program Length: Saturday (10:00-11:30)
Session Duration: 1.5 hours

Objectives:
  • Programming in Java-script environment with robotics extension 
  • Developing robotic arm applications possibly including but not limited to:
  • Water-serving Robots
  • Bomb Squad
  • Playing a musical keyboard
  • Classroom chores such as erasing the boards
  • Pick out finished 3D prints and restart the print job
  • Remote control of robotic arm providing haptic feedback (two arms required)
  • Implement “Blockly” programming interface for junior developers wishing to participate in this robotic arm development

Equipment Required:
  • Dexter by Haddington Dynamics
    (The program is designed around this FPGA Supercomputing Robotics platform. Haddington Dynamics will be providing technical support for the students.)

Requirements
  • possess relevant professional qualifications

STEAM Education and First Experience in Maker Culture, using Digital Fabrication Tools

Use of the following digital fabrication and hand tools:
