HKUGA College 20th Anniversary Open Day and Home Coming Party Arrangements

To all guests, alumni, and friends of our school,

The incident in Tai Po has caused profound sorrow in our community. We wish to express our solidarity with all affected families. We extend our deepest condolences to the victims and offer our sincere sympathies and support to the injured individuals and their relatives.

In these difficult times, the 20th Anniversary Open Day celebrations this Saturday and Sunday have been cancelled. The Admission Information Day, encompassing all admission talks, open classrooms and learning displays, will still be held as scheduled on both days. We view this event as an important opportunity for our community to gather and offer mutual support.

Furthermore, the Homecoming Party scheduled for Sunday will be postponed. Details of the new arrangement will be announced at a later date. We understand the heavy hearts many are feeling at this time. We look forward to gathering with our alumni in the future.

We sincerely invite the public to continue supporting our Admission Information Day. Let us also keep the victims in our thoughts, remembering the value of life and the importance of mutual support.
Thank you for your understanding and compassion.

Sincerely,
HKUGA College

4 January 2024 - Swimming Gala

04 Jan 2024
Competition

On the 4th of January 2024, our school’s swimming gala was held at Victoria Park Swimming Pool. About 180 students participated in this annual event. The day started with an opening ceremony that consisted of the Principal’s speech and then the athlete's declaration. After the ceremony, the competitions started!

The individual competition events were very thrilling and students were swimming their very best. One major highlight of the swimming gala was the much-anticipated house relay. Teachers, alumni and HKUGA Primary School students were invited to participate alongside our current students. Once the relay started, the atmosphere of the pool became even more tense. After an incredible round of competition, Gandhi won the house relay. For the overall championship of the swimming gala, it was Laozi who took the trophy, having scored the highest out of the six houses.

As the school’s swimming team captain, I was glad to see my schoolmates trying their best to finish the competitions, cheering non-stop from the spectator’s stand and even breaking different records to score more house points. The support from our fellow schoolmates, teachers and parents definitely fueled the competitors to give it their all.

It was definitely an unforgettable day for everyone!
