Authentic Learning Experiences

As part of HKUGA College’s mission to incorporate the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into student learning, the Adventure-based Life Education (ABLE) Committee and Global Citizenship Committee has organized a half-day educational trip in partnership with Ocean Park for all S3 year students on the 27th of April. Students attentively participated in 3 programs:

#1 Shark Mystique

Understand the importance of sharks in our ecosystems, explore the challenges faced by sharks in Hong Kong, rethink humans’ impact on the environment, and commit to stop consuming shark fins.

#2 Bamboo Eaters

Appreciate the uniqueness of giant pandas, investigate the natural and anthropogenic threats faced by giant pandas, and analyse giant pandas’ feeding habits through scientific investigation.

#3 Ocean Treasures

Visit the Grand Aquarium and discover the amazing behaviours and adaptations of marine creatures. Learn about marine resources through an exciting trivia game and begin to cherish the treasures of the ocean.

We are proud of our S3 students’ active participation and enthusiasm in the programs as ambassadors of the College. Well done!

We look forward to upcoming meaningful learning experiences for students, including S1 RICE 3, S2 FACT program, and many more currently being planned for our senior students.
