HKUGA College 20th Anniversary Open Day and Home Coming Party Arrangements

To all guests, alumni, and friends of our school,

The incident in Tai Po has caused profound sorrow in our community. We wish to express our solidarity with all affected families. We extend our deepest condolences to the victims and offer our sincere sympathies and support to the injured individuals and their relatives.

In these difficult times, the 20th Anniversary Open Day celebrations this Saturday and Sunday have been cancelled. The Admission Information Day, encompassing all admission talks, open classrooms and learning displays, will still be held as scheduled on both days. We view this event as an important opportunity for our community to gather and offer mutual support.

Furthermore, the Homecoming Party scheduled for Sunday will be postponed. Details of the new arrangement will be announced at a later date. We understand the heavy hearts many are feeling at this time. We look forward to gathering with our alumni in the future.

We sincerely invite the public to continue supporting our Admission Information Day. Let us also keep the victims in our thoughts, remembering the value of life and the importance of mutual support.
Thank you for your understanding and compassion.

Sincerely,
HKUGA College

22 November 2025 - S5 Cheung Chau Geography Field Trip

22 Nov 2025
Academic

A group of S5 Geography students recently completed an invaluable urban studies and fieldwork experience at the Caritas Chan Chun Ha Field Studies Centre in Cheung Chau.

During the one-day course, students gained practical knowledge of urban planning, development, and the issue of urban decay within Cheung Chau. Moving beyond the classroom, they were able to immerse themselves in real-life situations by collecting timely data. The fieldwork component offered students new insights into data-based learning, utilizing measurement tools, analyzing data with a choropleth map, and standardizing data collection methods.

This trip highlighted the close relationship between fieldwork and daily life, demonstrating its potential benefit to society. This experience will enable students to apply their academic knowledge and utilise these essential skill sets for their holistic personal development.
