14-17 May 2019 – PSHE Week 2019

14 - 17 May 2019
Academic

The theme this year was “Hong Kong Minorities.”

A series of activities were organized to enhance students’ understanding of and empathy towards different minority groups in Hong Kong. For example, a blind-folded walk was scheduled to let our students experience the difficulties that the visually impaired encounter in their everyday lives. Through a movie appreciation, our students were offered the chance to reflect on the unfair treatment that some domestic helpers in Hong Kong now face. The visit to the refugee center allowed our students to interact with the refugees directly to understand their needs in Hong Kong better. Last but not least, in the PSHE Minority Project Competition Final and the exhibition in The Hub, our S1-S5 students showcased their research projects on different minority groups to increase awareness of the difficulties that the underprivileged now face and the related government policies. Students were engaged in the activities during the week and found the overall experience a very fruitful one!
