11-15 March 2024 - STEM Week
To provide opportunities for students to extend and celebrate their learning of STEM, the STEM faculty (Science, Mathematics, and Technology departments) has organized and presented the STEM Week from 11th to 15th March. This year's theme is “Revolutionizing Mobility: Exploring STEM Innovations in Transportation”. Participants were fully engaged in the activities throughout the week.
A total of 15 STEM thematic activities were held during lunch time for students to explore the innovative, exciting, and inspiring areas of transportation. There was overwhelming participation in hands-on and minds-on activities such as “Prepare Foods to Pack Up for a Road Trip”, “SaLt WHeeLs”, “Air Hovering” and “Pathfinder: The Ultimate Bridge Building Adventure”.
In the junior assembly, S1-3 student representatives from each House showcased their comprehensive understanding of STEM subjects, as well as what they have learned during the thematic activities. House members off the stage were also as excited as the representatives, giving their maximum support to cheer for their Houses. In the senior assembly, S4-5 students were competing with each other and exercising judgment in the “Human Kahoot”. Students truly demonstrated the character strengths, “Love of Learning” and “Curiosity”!
Congratulations to Newton for winning the overall Champion in STEM Week! We are looking forward to seeing everyone’s happy faces in the upcoming STEM activities.
