HKUGA College 20th Anniversary Open Day and Home Coming Party Arrangements

To all guests, alumni, and friends of our school,

The incident in Tai Po has caused profound sorrow in our community. We wish to express our solidarity with all affected families. We extend our deepest condolences to the victims and offer our sincere sympathies and support to the injured individuals and their relatives.

In these difficult times, the 20th Anniversary Open Day celebrations this Saturday and Sunday have been cancelled. The Admission Information Day, encompassing all admission talks, open classrooms and learning displays, will still be held as scheduled on both days. We view this event as an important opportunity for our community to gather and offer mutual support.

Furthermore, the Homecoming Party scheduled for Sunday will be postponed. Details of the new arrangement will be announced at a later date. We understand the heavy hearts many are feeling at this time. We look forward to gathering with our alumni in the future.

We sincerely invite the public to continue supporting our Admission Information Day. Let us also keep the victims in our thoughts, remembering the value of life and the importance of mutual support.
Thank you for your understanding and compassion.

Sincerely,
HKUGA College

Career & Life Planning

Thirty S3 to S5 students and three teachers participated in an Australia University Exploration Trip, where they visited six prestigious universities: the University of Technology Sydney, the University of Sydney, and the University of New South Wales in Sydney, as well as Monash University, Melbourne University, and RMIT University in Melbourne. This journey provided invaluable insights into the academic opportunities available in Australia. The itinerary also included visits to iconic sites such as the Sydney Opera House and Bondi Beach, where students enjoyed the stunning coastal scenery.

In addition to university visits, our students explored the unique flora at the Royal Botanic Garden and engaged with Australia’s vibrant wildlife at Phillip Island. They had the chance to observe kangaroos and playful penguins in their natural habitat, deepening their appreciation for the country’s rich biodiversity. Cultural experiences were further enhanced through visits to the Art Gallery of New South Wales and the Science Gallery, which showcased the intersection of art and science in Australian society.

This trip allowed students to understand the differences among Australian universities, an essential factor for their future study abroad applications. They also gained a greater appreciation for the local culture and the breathtaking beauty of Australia’s natural landscapes, enriching their personal and academic growth.
