11 October 2019 – S6 Parents Night

Finally, it’s nearly the end of our soon-to-be graduates’ journey in HKUGA College.

Our Principal, Ms Corina Chen, started the S6 Parents Night with an encouraging speech. After that, students and parents walked down the memory lane, going back to the time when they first came to the New S1 Parents Meeting and seeing the first student photo they took six years ago. Our Vice Principal and Head of Pastoral Care, Mr Newman Chan and S6 Head of Year, Ms Vivien Choy then gave students and parents a chance to cheer each other on and reflect on their relationship, creating a supportive atmosphere.

After these warm moments, our Vice Principals, Ms Stella Chan and Ms Cynthia Lee brought everyone’s attention to some key reminders of the public examination and tips to overcome difficulties they may face at this stage. The Career and Life Planning Coordinator, Mr Hody Chan, went through the application process of local and overseas institutions and invited three alumni, Kanco Cheung, Jessica Lam and Jeff Mak, who just graduated last year to share their study skills and ways of handling stress.

Though students may encounter a lot of ups and downs ahead of them, let’s remember the song Mr Newman Chan shared with everyone, “the best it yet to come”!
